Refund Policy

When you can get your money back for a Riwayatak plan or credits, what happens to your account when you do, and how to ask.

  • Last updated
  • 9 sections
The short version
  • Your first payment for a plan: a full refund if you ask within 30 days.
  • A renewal: refundable within 14 days of the charge if you have not used that period.
  • A refund ends the plan it paid for. The videos you already made stay yours.
  • Credits you bought and have not used: refundable within 14 days of the purchase.
  • Free tries are free — nothing is ever charged for them.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. It is not a refund on its own.

This summary is written to be read. The numbered sections below are the policy itself — where the two differ, the sections win.

01 What this policy covers

This policy covers what you pay Riwayatak for: plan subscriptions, and credits bought on top of a plan. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns — so an approved refund of an online order is paid back to you by Paddle, to the card or account you paid with.

02 Your first payment: 30 days

If Riwayatak is not right for you, ask within 30 days of your first payment for a plan and we refund that payment in full. You do not have to give a reason.

  • This applies once per customer — to the first plan you ever subscribe to, not to every new subscription on the same account or the same person.
  • Any tax charged with the payment is refunded with it.

03 Renewals: 14 days, if unused

A monthly renewal can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of the charge and you have not used the period it paid for — no video generated and none of that period's included credits spent.

Once a period has been used, its renewal is not refundable. You can still cancel at any time so that the next one does not happen.

04 What a refund does to your account

  • The plan the refunded payment bought ends at once.
  • Credits that came with that plan and are still unspent are removed. Credits already spent stay spent.
  • Everything you already made stays yours: videos in your library, and anything already published to your own channels.
  • A partial refund — a goodwill gesture, for example — does not end your plan.
  • A chargeback opened with your bank has the same effect as a full refund. Please write to us first: it is faster for you, and it is the same money.

05 Cancelling

  • Cancel at any time, using the link in the receipt email Paddle sends you, or by writing to us — we cancel it for you.
  • You keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing more is charged after it.
  • There is no cancellation fee.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not refund a payment already made — for that, see sections 02 and 03.

06 Free tries and credits

  • Free tries are free. Nothing is charged for them, so there is nothing to refund.
  • Credits included with a plan are part of that plan. They are not refunded separately, and they leave with a refunded plan (section 04).
  • If you paid for credits and they never reached your balance, we refund that payment in full.
  • Credits you bought and have not used can be refunded within 14 days of the purchase; they are removed from your balance when the refund is made.
  • Credits that have been spent, or have expired, are not refundable.

07 When something goes wrong on our side

If a failure on our side ruins a video — it never renders, or it renders broken — tell us. We run it again at no cost, or we give back the credits it took. If that is not enough to put it right, we refund the charge.

08 How to ask for a refund

  • Write to the address at the bottom of this page, from the email address on your Riwayatak account.
  • Include the order number from your Paddle receipt, or the date and amount of the payment.
  • We aim to answer within 3 working days.
  • Once a refund is approved, the time the money takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer — usually 5 to 10 working days.
  • For a question about the payment itself, Paddle's buyer support at paddle.net can also help.

09 Your rights under the law

Any refund, cancellation or withdrawal right that your local consumer law gives you applies on top of this policy, whatever else it says.

We may update this policy. A change never reduces a refund you were already entitled to for a payment made before the change, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
