How to delete your account

Deleting an account is self-service inside the portal — not a request you send and wait on. Every step is on one screen, and none of it involves emailing anybody.

It asks for your password again even though you are already signed in, because this is the only action in the product that erases everything.

• Sign in to your Riwayatak account.
• Open "Privacy & data" from the settings group in the sidebar.
• Press "I want to close my account", then confirm with your password and the acknowledgement shown.
• You get an immediate email confirming the date your account will be deleted, with a link to undo it.

What is deleted, and when

Deletion happens in two stages rather than one, and the split is deliberate: the first is immediate because it concerns credentials that must not sit with us for a moment after you ask, and the second is delayed because an account closed by mistake has to be recoverable.

• The moment you confirm: the stored access and refresh tokens for your YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts are deleted from our servers, and the account stops being able to make anything new.
• For the next 30 days: everything is still here, exactly as it was, and one tap on the same screen undoes it. Nothing is deleted during this window.
• After 30 days: the account and everything you made — videos, recitations, scripts, scenes, templates, schedules and uploads — is deleted for good. There is no backup we can restore.
• What stays afterwards: financial records only, against an anonymous reference carrying no name, no email and no content, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• The security event log is kept with your account id and IP address removed from it, so it no longer points at you.

Deleting one platform's data without closing your account

If what you want is for us to stop reaching a particular channel, you do not need to close the whole account.

Disconnecting at our end deletes what we store; only you can remove the platform's own record of the authorisation, from that platform's settings.

• Open "Connected accounts" in the portal and press Disconnect on the platform you mean.
• Everything we store for that account is deleted then and there: the access and refresh tokens and the channel identifier.
• Then revoke the authorisation on the platform itself as well — the links below.

• App permissions in your Google account (YouTube)
• Apps and websites in the Instagram Accounts Centre
• Security and permissions in TikTok settings

Take a copy of your data first

While your account is open you can download a complete copy of your data from the same screen. Ask for it before closing: once the window ends there is nothing left to build a copy from.

• From "Privacy & data", press "Prepare a copy of my data".
• You get an email when the archive is ready, and the download button appears on the same screen.
• The archive is machine-readable JSON: your account, everything you made, your billing history, your connected accounts and what was published for you.
• Platform access tokens are deliberately not in it: they are credentials, and a copy in a forwardable file would let whoever holds it post to your channel.

If you cannot get into your account

The first route is always a password reset from the sign-in page, because deleting from inside the account is faster and more reliable.

If that is not possible, write to us from the email address registered on the account and we will handle the request by hand.

• Write from the address registered on the account, to the email at the bottom of this page.
• Say that you are asking for the account to be deleted. Never put your password in the message.
• We may ask you to confirm your identity first — not as an obstacle, but because deleting an account on somebody else's say-so is exactly the failure this prevents. We answer within 30 days.
